G.A. Merrill, Esq.
Owatonna, Minnesota

Dear Sir:

Two or three days ago I wrote Mr. Lewis in regard to getting Ellen Clark back for her mother. Perhaps I should of taken the matter up with you; please advise what will be necessary for to be done. Mrs. Clark has made a good record and will be able to start a small restaurant and wants her girl for company. Thanking you in advance for any favors you can do.

I remain respectfully yours,
C.E. Scribner

P.S.
Should I understand by Ellen's letter that Freddie has been given out to a family?
