Text | Died in Plympton, Mr. Samuel Tomlinson, aged 82 years and one month. The funeral service was held on the old homestead, where he had lived for fifty years. The deceased was highly respected by his neighbors, for his integrity and purity of life. He was a member of the Church of England, (and) was strongly attached to her doctrine, discipline and worship, and was buried according to the rites of said church. As he lived, he died, and was gathered to his fathers in the hope of resurrection to Eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ. His remains were laid by the side of those of his wife, who was buried on the farm thirteen years ago. Mr. Duncan Faulkner cared for him as a son should care for his father in his last days and saw the wishes of the deceased carried out in every respect. There are eight daughters of the deceased now living and comfortably settled in life. | |
