Text | A. G. Bryant, 59, Dies at Home Here Alexander G. Bryant, 59, died suddenly Tuesday at his home, 177 North Grove. Born in Chicago to George A. and Annie G. Bryant, he had been a resident of Oak Park since moving here from the city in 1918. In 1931, Mr. Bryant founded the Bryant Machinery and Engineering company, which manufactures and distributes machine tools, and was active as president of the firm at the time of his death. A member of First Presbeterian church here, he served as an elder. He was a member of the Oak Park Country club and of the River Forest Tennis club. Surviving are his widow, Olive Bruce, two daughters, Mrs. D. Laffey (Betty) of Glen Ellyn, and Mrs. John J. Hill (Patricia) of Poland, Ohio, a brother, George A., a sister, Mrs. Anna Grey, and six grandchildren. Services from Haggard's will be held at 2:30 p.m. this afternoon at First Presbyterian church. Interment will be private. | |
