Text | Walker, Hector, age 97, passed away suddenly on October 26, 2004 at Santa Maria Seniors Home in Regina, SK. He was born on August 1, 1907 in the Ingleside District in Saskatchewan. He took his early schooling in Harrowby, MB. At age 22, he started buying grain for a line company and for the following 35 years, worked in various places in SK and MB. He was in the army for three years and served in World War II with an Anti Tank Regiment from the 8th of June 1944 until the end of the war. Hector was predeceased by three sisters; Jean, Gladys and Daisy, and one brother, Harvey, his son Lyndon in 1993 and his loving wife, Golda, in 1996. He leaves to mourn and will be sadly missed by his daughter Bonita (Al) Pollock of Sherwood Park, AB, his son Terry of Tumbler Ridge, BC, his grandchildren Brent (Kathy) Pollock and Wendy (Michael) Bernas, and great grandchildren Darrian and Reis Pollock, all from Sherwood Park, AB. Cremation has taken place and as per his request, no funeral service will be held. Interment will happen at a later date in Liberty, SK. We would like to thank his great friends in and around Liberty (Ivan, Rose, Steve, Ken and many more) for your kind visits and help over the years, as well as the DVA for all their support. To the staff at Santa Maria Seniors Home, thank you for all your wonderful care. We are forever thankful.
