Text | DWIGHT - Marjorie A. Beyer, 76, of Dwight died at 6:30 a.m. Sunday (Aug. 25, 2002) at her residence. Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight, with Father William Gardner officiating. Burial will be at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Dwight. Arrangements are being handled by Hager Memorial Home, Dwight. Memorials may be made to OSF Hospice. She was born June 9, 1926, in Streator, a daughter of Omar and Marjorie Kelso Hammen. She married Donald Beyer on Jan. 27, 1945, in Kinsman. He died Aug. 21, 2002. Survivors include one daughter, Patricia (Richard) Miles; and two sons, John (Donna) Beyer; and James (Kristin) Beyer; one sister, Carolyn (Charles) Helmig; and two brothers, Tom (Barbara) Hammen and James (JoAnne) Hammen; eight grandchildren, Beth Simpkins, Jeff Simpkins, Danielle Sims, April Adams, Chris Beyer, Elizabeth Beyer, Devin Beyer, and Tristen Beyer; and six great-grandchildren, Brendan, Elijah, Tiyler, DeVaughn, Dalen, Kaeloni, and Nya. She was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church, Dwight. She was a dietary manager for the State of Illinois at the Dwight Correctional Facility. She was a resident of Dwight since 1945. She and her husband owned and operated several businesses in Dwight. | |
